Care & Support Assistant

Pay rate: £12.50 - £12.75 per hour
Hours: Full Time, Part Time & Bank available (to include alternate weekend working)
Come and join our brand-new team at Care South, Marjorie House - a spectacular 50 bed specialist dementia and residential care home in Lilliput, Poole.
Our new purpose-built Art Deco building in Lilliput has stunning views over Poole Harbour.
You’ll be able to support our residents in a safe and caring environment where they can live their lives as if in the comfort of their own home.
Who we are looking for:
Marjorie House is keen to meet people with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
You'll need to be naturally compassionate and of course understanding of others.
Previous care experience is not essential for our Care & Support Team.
You may be in a customer care role or have helped within your community. A full induction and training programme will be provided to support you.

What you will be doing:
- Delivering excellent person-centred care, focusing on the care needs of each individual resident with dignity and compassion.
- Following the care plans of our residents and fulfilling their personal needs – supporting with washing, dressing, toileting, food, drink & mobility.
- Building relationships and providing companionship – our residents wellbeing is paramount.
- Supporting & encouraging our residents to remain as independent as possible.
- Working as part of a team to create a safe, warm, friendly & welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors in their home.
