Care South, a leading not for profit registered charity, have exciting opportunities for an Assisted Living Care Assistant within Kenwith Gardens, 58 bungalow Assisted Living community in the beautiful countryside near to Bideford with its own community shop and café.
Now is an exciting time to join the Care South team, as we expand our Care at Home offering. This role will not only be supporting residents within our beautiful care village but also assisting in providing private care within the local community. This role is a bank position, and as such offers flexibility with hours.
The Assisted Living Care Assistant role will be supporting clients with a variety of needs including personal care, domestic support, activities, and companionship.
It is essential that applicants hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
This Homecare Assistant position is suitable for anyone looking for Cleaning, Domestic, Care Assistant, Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant roles.

Key duties for our Homecare Assistants include:
- Identifying the needs and abilities of our clients and providing encouragement
- Delivering all aspects of care including personal care when required, domestic support and meal preparation.
- Supporting with community visits (shopping and leisure trips)
- Regular communications with the office support team

About you:
- A genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients
- Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential as Care South provide full training
- UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
- Business insurance on vehicle or happy to obtain it
- Flexible in the hours you can work, ideally working alternative weekends
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Holder of an enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake
