Activities Team Leader - Competitive pay rate of £12.35 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for an Activities Team Leader to join the team at Sussexdown, our country house care home, offering residential, specialist dementia and nursing care. Located in the West Sussex village of Storrington, Sussexdown maintains strong links with the Royal Air Forces Association and is full of character and charm.

What you will be doing:
- Providing a varied range of imaginative and enjoyable social & therapeutic activities/events to our residents - some of whom are living with dementia.
- Managing an ongoing calendar of social events and activities for all residents, covering their personal interests.
- Negotiating with suppliers, ordering materials, buying tickets, booking transport and arranging outings; to include the wider care team and friends & family of residents if appropriate.
- Researching and implementing new ideas, themes and activities.
- Supporting the Activities Assistants within the team.
Who we are looking for:
We want you to be social and outgoing with excellent communication skills. You need to display excellent time management and the ability to prioritise important tasks. Ideally you have experience in managing a small team. Flexible in the hours that you work.
